This is a cool homemade Brazilian method which is very useful abroad-- anywhere that Nestle Leite Condensado de Colher (Spoonable Sweetened Condensed Milk) is not available.
That's right! In Brazil, Nestle produces a special "Creamy Sweetened Condensed Milk" (Leite Condensado Cremoso) or SpoonableSweetened Condensed Milk (Leite Condensado de Colher),ready to eat right out of the can.
Down there, we eat it as a snack by the spoonful, spread it on as afrostingfor cakes, or use it as a filling for baked goodies. Super-cool, right?!
But here in the USA, where the product is not available, this Brazilian is going to to share with you a clever hack on how to make it at home in the blink of an eye. When you find out how, you're gonna go: "Duuuuuh, why didn't I think of that?" 🙂

HOW TO MAKE SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK FROSTING OR PIE/TART FILLING WITH JUST ONE INGREDIENT
OK, prepare to either be surprised or angry that you didn't think of this before.
All you have to do is refrigerate a can of sweetened condensed milk overnight, open and pour it into a blender, and blend for about one minute or less... or until sweetened condensed milk is so darn thick that the blender blades can barely move.
The result? It's so thick that you can turn the blender bowl upside down and it won't even fall out... just like stiff beaten egg whites.
Then you can spoon the super creamy sweetened condensed milk into a piping bag and frost cakes, or use it as a filling for tarts and pies.
Of course, you can also just straight out eat it by the spoonful (MY FAVORITE WAY because, as you know, you have to taste everything that you make first, right?). 😉

Blend one can of sweetened condensed milk with ½ to 1 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice in a blender until mixture is so creamy that blender can barely work.
APPLE CIDERSWEETENED CONDENSED MILK FROSTING OR PIE/TART FILLING
Blend one can of sweetened condensed milk with 1 teaspoon of spiced apple cider instant drink mix in a blender until mixture is so creamy that blender can barely work.
PEANUT BUTTER SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK FROSTING OR PIE/TART FILLING
Blend one can of sweetened condensed milk with 2 Tablespoons (or more) of peanut butter in a blender until mixture is so creamy that blender can barely work.
COCONUT SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK FROSTING OR PIE/TART FILLING
Blend one can of sweetened condensed milk with 2 Tablespoons (or more) of canned unsweetened coconut milk in a blender until mixture is so creamy that blender can barely work. Then, if desired you can stir in 1 tablespoon ofunsweetened coconut flakes as well (don't blend it! Stir in with a spoon or spatula).
LEMON/LIME SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK FROSTING OR PIE/TART FILLING
Blend one can of sweetened condensed milk with fresh juice of 1 lemon/lime in a blender until mixture is so creamy that blender can barely work. If desired, sprinkle lemon/lime zest on top after pipping.
CHOCOLATE SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK FROSTING OR PIE/TART FILLING
Blend one can of sweetened condensed milk by itselfin a blender until it is so thick that blender can barely work. Reserve! Then, melt 1 cup dark or bittersweet chocolate chips in the microwave according to package instructions. Let cool until it is nearly to room temperature, yet smooth and mixable. Whisk in the blended sweetened condensed milk until mixture is creamy and thick. Let set completely at room temperature. Pipe or spoon on or in baked baked goodies which can be refrigerated. NOTE: This is the only frosting that may be suitable for cupcakes.

Instructions
REFRIGERATE a can of sweetened condensed milk overnight. Open and pour sweetened condensed milk into a blender and blend for about one minute or less... or until sweetened condensed milk is so thick that the blender blades can barely move.
Turn the cup of the blender upside down and sweetened condensed milk frosting won't come down. That's how you know it is thick enough!
Then, spoon sweetened condensed milk frosting into a piping bag and frost cakes, or use it as a filling for tarts and pies. Preferably, refrigerate cake/pie/tart -- especially at summertime.
